+ What is Scriptd?
Scriptd is a monthly subscription box that brings new, diverse scripts to your doorstep. Along with the two monthly scripts, members will receive exclusive behind-the-scene content from each script, and access to a member community to discuss the works with others. We believe supporting non-profit theatres is vital. So, 5% of all proceeds are donated to a different non-profit theatre each month!
We believe that Scriptd is a great resource for theatre fanatics who want to stay connected to new work, for readers who have never read scripts but who want to learn more about the art form, and for everybody in between!
+ What is included in my membership?
Each month members will get two full-length contemporary plays. Members will also enjoy exclusive, behind-the-scene content to help deepen the experience. Content may include letters from the playwright, interviews with theatre artists engaged in a current production, design sketches, renderings, or production photos from current productions, or in-depth analysis of particular scenes and themes. To help encourage discussion and promote community, each member will have access to members-only online discussions to share thoughts about the plays. Most importantly, 5% of all memberships is donated to a featured non-profit theatre every month.

A one month subscription costs $24.99. + When does scriptd ship/renew?
Orders placed in the current month are for the next month's selected plays. All shipments are mailed on the 1st of every month. Renewing memberships are billed on the 11th of the month.
To give you an example: if you place an order in the month of August, you are going to receive September's selected plays. You will be charged once when you place your initial order. Your first shipment of plays will be mailed on September 1st. And, your membership renewal will occur on September 11th.

+ Can i purchase an individual play?
Yes. When we have inventory available, you can purchase previously featured plays individually in the Scriptd Shop.

Plays & Theatres
+ How do you choose the plays?
As a guide, Scriptd researches contemporary plays by American playwrights that are slated for production in the current season of one of the > 532 Theatre Communication Group (TCG) member theatres> . It’s our priority to highlight diverse voices and our play selections reflect this. You’ll find plays by authors of color, women, LGBTQ writers, and individuals with unique perspectives and experiences. Some of the playwrights will be well known, and some might be emerging artists. However, all of the plays are relevant, thought-provoking, and entertaining. Do you have a play you’d like to suggest? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
+ What kind of plays are offered?
All of the plays are contemporary American plays. Playwrights are writing innovative works across many genres - and so we strive to provide a mix from a variety of genres.
+ Are the plays physical or electronic copies?
Scriptd members received two physical play scripts each month as part of their membership. Some of the plays will be the Acting Edition, with a simple cover and published with the intent of performance. Other plays will be Trade Editions, produced by publishers with full cover art. The choice to include one edition over the other depends on the specific play and the relationship we have with that play’s publisher. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that you’ll receive a specific edition.
+ can I select more than 2 plays per month?
We get it. Two plays a month just isn’t enough. Unfortunately, at this time memberships only include two selected plays each month. In the future we hope to offer members greater flexibility (i.e. additional plays, plays curated by interests, etc.). However, we want to get really good at the basics first.
+ Can I buy multiple copies of the same play?
At this time we aren’t able to accommodate this through our website’s checkout process. However, if you are interested in multiple copies of the same play, please email us at email@example.com and we can work with you to try and fulfill your request based on inventory restrictions.
+ How can I connect with other members reading the same play as I am?
One of the aspects of powerful plays that we love is the discussion it drives. To help make these discussions easy no matter where you live, we have set up a members' community where all Scriptd subscribers can connect and talk about the plays, themes, and ideas around each month’s selections. > Click here to access member discussions.
+ How do you decide which featured non-profit theatre to support each month?
Each month we feature one of the 532 > Theatre Communication Group (TCG) member theatres.> We try to select theatres that are producing innovative work that is relevant and impactful to their respective communities. We also look for organizations that are exploring creative ways to engage with underserved populations to increase theatre accessibility and diversity. + How do i join?
By just clicking here! This will take you to the membership page, where you can choose your subscription plan and complete your billing and shipping information.
+ What membership plans are there?
We offer a one-month subscription for $24.99, a three-month subscription for $69.99 (a $5 savings), and a six-month subscription for $134.99 (a $15 savings). Click here to choose the plan that works best for you!
+ I just signed up...now what?
Congratulations! We are excited to have you a part of the Scriptd family and really think you are going to love it. You don’t need to do anything else! Plays are mailed at the first of every month - and we’ll send you a shipping notification with a tracking number as soon as it’s on the way. + I can't log in!
Well shoot! In the past, I have had trouble because of a typo in the email associated with my account, so I would suggest double checking that. If it is not that simple though, then email us at email@example.com and we will get right on it!
+ I forgot my password!
Oh no! My mom always uses Password123, so maybe try that?* Or you can just click here and we can send you an email to reset your password. The email will be sent to the address associated with your account.

*Please don’t use this password. We suggest using a password with numbers, lowercase, and uppercase letters that is not so easy to guess!
+ Can I order just one month instead of a recurring subscription?
All of Scriptd membership plans are auto-renewing every month (don’t worry, you can cancel at any time!). However, I totally understand wanting to try something out first. That’s why we make it easy to cancel right inside your account settings if you don’t like it. You can also easily skip months that don't interest you. If you’d like to give Scriptd a try, sign up for a month-to-month membership here.
+ Can I skip a month without losing my membership?
Sure thing! If you are a on our month-to-month membership plan, you can easily skip your box inside your account! Simply login here. On the left side of the screen you will find your current subscription(s). Click “EDIT” on the subscription you would like to skip. On the next page, click “SKIP NEXT RENEWAL.” This will skip the next month’s subscription and will show you the next renewal date. This needs to be completed before the 1st day of the month you want to skip.
If you are on a 3- or 6- month membership plan - you can skip a month by emailing us at email@example.com. Please do not try the method described above, because this will actually skip the next 3 or 6 months (respectively), not just one. I know it is annoying that this can’t be done yourself. We’re working on improving this user interface.
Remember, plays are shipped on the 1st of every month - if you want to skip a month you need to do so in the preceding month!
+ Can i join if I'm not a resident of the United States?
Sadly, Scriptd is currently only available to residents of the United States. We hope to be able to accommodate other countries in the future. If you are outside of the United States, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will let you know if we ever expand!
+ Can I send a gift membership?
Yes! Click here to give Scriptd as a gift! On the checkout page after choosing desired membership plan, you'll be able to enter the Recipient's name and email address. You can also choose whether or not you'd like this gift membership to auto-renew.
Billing & Shipping
+ What is your return policy
We make it easy to skip a month for any reason. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refunds for boxes that have already shipped. If you aren’t interested in receiving a particular month, make sure to skip before the 1st day of the month you want to skip.
We are happy to accept returns of damaged or defective plays up to 30 days from the date of shipment for replacement or membership credit; no refunds. If you return a damaged play, we will send you a replacement copy or if a replacement copy is not available, a membership credit will be applied to your Scriptd account.
+ What is your cancellation policy?
We hate to see you go! Before you cancel, did you know that you can skip a month at any time?
To cancel, log in to your Scriptd Account. On the left side of the screen you will find your current subscription(s). Click “EDIT” on the subscription you would like to cancel. On the next page, click “CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION.”
>Please keep in mind that we are unable to offer refunds on months that have already shipped.
+ I'm getting an error message from my promo code?

+ How can I update my credit card information?
No problem! Log in to your Account here. On the Account Overview page you can easily edit/add credit cards to your account.
+ How can I update my shipping address?
Absolutely! Log in to your Account page here. Your Account Overview section shows you the current address on file and you can easily edit/add addresses here.
Remember: Plays ship on the 1st of the month! If you need to change an address please do so by the last day of the month before shipments are processed. We are unable to process refunds for already shipped items. If you forgot to update your address email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try to catch it before it mails out!
+ What forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
+ Where is my box?
All plays are shipped on the first of the month. We’ll always send you a shipping email notification with a tracking number (if you didn’t receive this, after checking your spam folder, email us at email@example.com).
In general, shipments can take 5-7 business days to arrive. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii can sometimes take a little longer.
